The snow finally stopped falling, and this morning the sun shone. Despite the cold and the deep snow, well equipped and with dogs, I headed into the woods. I wanted to keep the softness of the morning light on my black and white photographs. I used a circular-polarizing filter and on the original color variant it gives a bluish glow.

Sometimes, I like to disturb a peaceful scene. Here is that tree right in the middle of the scene, imposing, disturbing, for a second your eyes want to go behind the tree to the depth of landscape, but there is that tree and you stop and finally look at the tree and find it to be interesting, even beautiful.
This is how most people experience the world, eyes focused on their agendas and there is that tree right in their faces to force them to rethink their values.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the TREE, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

This is one of my fav photos, why is that? I think it is the combination of colors on the white background, a line that leads the eye in to the scene and finally, feelings and thoughts that awoke; winter rest and hope for the summer. As an abstract artist the burst of red and green on white is a painting full of joy.
